Fire clay bricks for blast furnace, of which alumina content over 40%, using chamotte as the major raw material, under going a series of working procedures, forming, drying and roasting, and having the advantages of good integral property.

　　Fireclay bricks for blast furnace should have the following properties:

　　1. High cold crushing strength, can resist the wear in BF burden long-term operating conditions;

　　2. Small volume shrinkage in long-term high temperature operation, which would help the linings maintain the integrity;

　　3. Low apparent porosity, low Fe₂O₃ content, decreased carbon deposition in the apparent pore, thus avoiding damage from expansion and porous during using fireclay bricks;

　　4. The formation of low-melting matters is little.

　　Fireclay bricks as blast furnace refractories are mainly used as linings for throat, shaft, hearth and hearth bottom of small blast furnace, as well as for shaft of large blast furnace.
