High alumina bricks for blast furnace which the content of alumina is about 48%～65% use calcined bauxite as main raw materials, adding soft clay as binders, being high pressure pressed and sintered in high temperature.

　　High alumina bricks for blast furnace have excellent characteristics as follows:

　　4. Good resistance to slag and alkali;

　　5. High temperature resistance, high strength.

　　High alumina bricks as blast furnace refractories are mainly used for throat and shaft, as well as for belly of small blast furnace.

　　1. Throat is the part where it suffers impact and friction when blast furnace burden is descending, so high density high alumina bricks can be used for;

　　2. The upper and middle part of shaft is generally built by high alumina bricks with wear resistance and anti-stripping capacity;

　　3. High alumina bricks which have the features of resistance to slag, alkali, high temperature and wear are used for the lower part of shaft;

　　4. Besides that, high alumina bricks are also used for the belly of small blast furnace.
