Shaft lime kiln

Configuration:

Shaft lime kiln is often used for calcined limestones, which goes through preheating zone, calcining zone and cooling zone. Hitech Material tailors a definitely superior refractory solution for shaft lime kiln to clients.

  Shaft lime kiln is of cylinder shape kiln body, is often used for calcined limestones.the materials are fed from the kiln roof and come out from the kiln bottom, which goes through preheating zone, calcining zone and cooling zone.

  Linings for calcining zone is easily damaged zone, which is the key to select the lime kiln refractories. Hitech Material tailors a definitely superior refractory solution for shaft lime kiln to clients.

Shaft lime kiln zones

  1. Inlet & Preheating zone

  The working temperature of refractories round the inlet and preheating zone is lower, and these areas mainly face mechanical impact and abrasion from the materials, so which can select high density fireclay bricks.

  2. Calcining zone

  Under high temperature, calcining zone linings suffer abrasion from the materials, erosion and chemical corrosion, so which are rapidly damaged. This area can be lined with low porosity high alumina bricks, silicate bricks, magnesia chrome bricks, magnesia bricks and magnesia alumina spinel bricks.

  Small and medium shaft kiln: low porosity high alumina bricks, silicate bricks;

  Large-scale shaft kiln: magnesia chrome bricks, magnesia bricks, magnesia alumina spinel bricks.

  3. Cooling zone & Outlet

  The working temperature of refractories in the two zones is also lower, of which damage cause is abrasion from lime and temperature difference induced by heating and cooling alteration, therefore, super duty fireclays would be suitable for.
